TROUT FRY EXPERIMENTS.

[BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION'.] Wellington', Monday. The secretary of the Acclimatisation Society has received a report on the trout fry received from Sydney in hermetically sealed jars. On arrival at the society a fishponds the contents of one bottle was transferred to the hatching box, where the little are now as Healthy as any to bo found about hatchery. The other bottle was kept intact in order to ascertain how long fry could live without fresh air. They died, however, on Friday last, the eighth day after they were immersed in the bottles at Sydney, and showed all signs of strangulation. It is intended to carry on further experiments shortly in the "interchange of young fish with Australia. '
