POLICE COURT.Toissday. [Before Dr. Giles, ILMM Drunkenness — Two first ofibndera were fined 58 each for this offence, or in default '24 hours' hard labour. Ann Tim&ley, Thos. Keesing deposed to the goods being pawned by the prisoner. The charge against prisoner of stealing a piece of turkey red was dismissed, but on five other charges she was sentenced to 14 days for each offence, the sentences to be cumulative

Alleged Failing to Provide. — Ellen Thornton was charged with having failed to provide adequate support for her illegitimate child. The case was further adjourned to November 11.
