London, October 10. The British Consul-General in New York emphatically denies the statement of Mr. Davitt that he supplied James .McDermott, the American Fenian, with funds to organic, dynamite plots in Canada, etc., or Riio he in any wav intrigued with McDenuott. Davitt , contention was that McDer inott had been engaged to organise a plot, and afterwards hand over his dupes to the British police.
