September 30.—Sailed : Sarah and Mary, brigantine, Smith, for Rockhampton. Arrived : S.s. Dingadee, from Port Chalmers.
The New Zealand Dairy Association's new dairyman says:—"The butter I am now making is superior to that with which I took first prize against all-comers at the Dunedin Exhibition. This butter, which is " better than the best" may be had from all grocers, and wholesale from the van, or at the depot at Messrs. J. Byeroft and Co.'a City Flour Mills, Hhortland-street. The brand is the word " Dairy" with the words "New Zealand Dairy Association"surrounding it. Ask for it and see that it bears the brand. The gold mine craze ! People are still investing money in gold mines they have never seen, and neglecting a mine of wealth in property, which can be seen at Thornea, 81, Queeu-Btreet. Poke Fiji Tea.—The celebrated Alpha Estate teas (lately sold by the Civil Service Supply Association) can now be obtained at Kew'a grocery store, Victoria-street.
