VITAL STATISTICS.
The deaths of persons not residents of boroughs occurring at hospitals havo been excluded in all cases. The total births in the above boroughs amounted to 417 against 472 in July, a decrease of 55. Tho deaths in August were 109, ail increase of 1 on the number in July. Of the total deaths males contributed 85, females 84. Forty of the deaths were of children under 5 years of age being 23.67 per cent, of the whole number, 27 of these were under one year of age.
