Insurance Buildings. This Company is to be formed for the purposo of erecting, at Ktiaotunu, Quartz Reduction Works of a thoroughly ellicient ami modern character, com« billing both wet and dry processes ; also, w here deemed advisable, to acquire interests in mining properties in coniHw»<ni therewith. A most suitable Battery site lias been pegged oil on the banks of a never-failing creek, and in such a position that coal can bo brought to it, either by punts or barges. The situation is central, and calculated to command, on all sides, the crushing from numerous claims, in which defined gold-bearing lodes have been and are ta in ; discovered. Access to the li.ittery by land is by an easy grade. A main ground tramway up the Valley can be laid at comparatively small cost, presenting no great engineering difficulties, with branch lines to connect the claims upon each side of it. It is intended at Hist to erect a Battery of '20 head of stampers, with foundations sufficient to increase that number as may be reunited ; Patent Grinding Fans of the most suitable description for savinu tine gold will be added. Though there are numerous claims at work in the district, no public crushing plant is, as yet, available. This want will be supplied, so that instead of entailing a large expanse in the shipment of quartz to the Thames for treatment, it can bo treated at tins Company's Battery, and at a cost satlsfa tory to all concerned. To ensure constant employment for tiie works, it is proposed to invite the co-operation of the principal Mining Companies, and where desirable, to acquire interests in the best known lodes. So satisfied are the Provisional Directors as to the venture, they do not require any promotion fees. The erection of the winks will be carefully supervised by an export, and the greatest economy, consistent with complete efficiency, will be steadily kept in view. From the central position of the works, there is crushing orO enough to keep going for years, with even a largely increased plant. Its accessibility by land and water, and its never-failing water supply, should make it the principal crushing centre of the field, and ensure a highly-remunerative return to the shareholders. A large number of shares have been already applied for, and allotments will bo made in the older of application. (in 50110 Shares being applied for, the Company will be formed : if a less number be applied 'or application tees will be returned (less pro rata .'ost of advertising and expenses), and no allotment', will lie made.
