Our Whangarei correspondent, telegraphing yesterday, savs To-day a staff of surveyors from Wellington went into Puhipuhi to grade the air-line route. By this arrangement the road will be delayed long enough to make it useless for getting machinery into the prospectors, and th«»r«a is a great deal of indignation here that the vote was not. spent by the Council. The prospectors will now be thiown upon their own resources, and they will have to make a road for machinery t themselves or be ruined. w
