MR. BAEYERTZS MISSION.

TIIK theme taken up by this lady yesterday afternoon was " Holiness." She remarked that she always sought to avoid controversial subjects, and never felt disposed to find fault where tlio result was practically the same. She was not one of those who believed that the old nature was taken out root and branch. Holiness was nob an improved self, but an imparted Christ; and when He lived His own life in the believer the actions would be right, and there would bo realised communion with God, the power of the Holy Spirit, and victory over sin. Holiness was not in the feelings, but in the life and walk. Conversion was giving the sins to God ; giving the heart to Him, and His taking full possession of it was holiness. This life was a distinct and definite step, and could be entered into in a moment. The condition was that the blessing should be earnestly desired, and that every doubtful tiling be given up. Still, there would be failure in the life, but as soon as there was a consciousness of the least evil it should be at once confessed. Mrs. Baeyertz referred to various parts of Scripture, in elucidation of her subject, and said that one effect of entering on the higher plane of Christian life would be that the Bible would become like a new book. There was a very large attendance, and the audionce paid rapt attention throughout the address.

In tho evening there was another crowded meeting. Mrs. Baeyortz gave an address on '"The Three Great 'Gomes' of God," that to Noah, "Come and all thy house into the ark," " Come and let us reason together," and "Come, for all things are ready." The address was an able one, in which pathos and eloquence wore happily blended. A goodly number of persons went into the inquiry room at the close of the service. Several of Mrs. Baeyortz' Jewish friends have been attending the meetings. Mrs. Bacyertz will deliver an address on Sunday afternoon at three o'clock, in tho City Hall, subject, tho 3rd chapter of Genesis ; and in the evening another address on the 4th chapter of Genesis. Doors opon at seven o'clock, the service commencing at half-past, seven. A collection will be taken, which will bo handed over to Mrs. Baoyertz's committee after paying expenses.
