Biu Pump.—Notwithstanding the shortness of the coal supply on hand. Mr. Phillips experiences no difficulty in keeping up pumping operations. Two boilers are now kept going with firewood, and two with coal, bub should the latter fuel run out altogether it has been proved that sufficient head of steam would be procurable by using firewood only.
