THE WATERBURY IN THE PULPIT.

G. M. Lawrence, of Yorkville, S.C., says, under date of October 9, 1889;—" Score one for the Water bury. The clergy approve of it. A short time ago one of the ministers, while conducting a series of meetings a few miles west of this place, was very much annoyed by parties opening and snapping their massive oroide watches. Our brother of the cloth bore with it as long as possible, when his patience became exhausted, and lie kindly informed his hearers that a Waterbury watch only cost 2.50d01., and with it one could see the time without snapping the case."
