FOUND SHOT DEAD.
[BY TELEGRAPH. — press ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Monday. Andrew McKhnzik, a well-known storekeeper on tho Belvedere Road, Carterton, was found dead alongside some stables near his house this morning, with a gun lying beside him. As he had stated his intention of shooting a dog that had ravaged his hen roost, it is believed the gun accidentally exploded, causing his death. Deceased was highly respected. He leaves a widow, two daughters, and six sons. His life was insured in the Australian and Government offices for a total of £500.
