At Christchurch, yesterday, Mr. James Campbell, formerly of Messrs. Aclaticl and Campbell, anil for six years auctioneer for the National Mortgage and Agency Company, who is leaving for Gisborne to join Messrs. Common and Skolton, was presented With a parse of sovereigns. The presentation was made in the presence of a largo representative gathering, by Mr. John Anderson, junior, president of the Agricultural and Pastoral Association. The President of the Chamber of Commerce and other gentlemen spoke in highly eulogistic terms of Mr. Campbell's ability and probity.
