THE CABLE GUARANTEE.
MR. GOSCHEN'S VIEWS. Prm Associatimi.-EUctrtc Telearaph.-CopyriffM. Melbourne, June 20. The Premier has received a cablegram from Sir Graham Perry in reference to the interview between the AgentsGeneral and Mr. Goschen in connection with the cable guarantee. It states that while Mr. Goschen personally would like to meet the views of the colonies, he hesitated to create a precedent of the Government subsidising cable companies; moreover, he was afraid, if the proposed arrangement were carried out, it might delay the projected Pacific cable. He promised to give further consideration to the subject before intimating the final decision of the Government. ___
