THE WELLINGTON SUPREME COURT.
[by telegraph.— association.] Wellington, Monday. The criminal sessions were finished to-day. Charles Cunningham, charged with maliciously wounding his wife, and C. H. Stevens with fraudulent bankruptcy, were acquitted. The session has lasted 15 days, and of 12 prisoners no less than eight were acquitted, two of them after trials extending over three days each. Of the rest, two Rot nine months each, one was released on probation, and the fourth had absconded.
