WIRTH'S CIRCUS.
The popularity of Wirth's Circus was again amply attested on Saturday, when at the two performances in the afternoon and evening the Columbia Rink was packed with eager and appreciative audiences. The lengthy and varied programme announced was gone through without curtailment, and the several items performed in excellent style. Another new number will be an American-Indian act, by that popular and talented rider, Mr. Gus St. Leon, while Mr. McKenzie will appear for the first time in his unique and amusing " musical spider" performance,, and a very funny finale is promised in " Billy Button's Ride to Bradford." Messrs. Wirth Brothers will make a lengthy stay in Auckland, as they purpose to remain here till Messrs. H. Wirth and Alexander return from America with the Great Wild West Show. The horses, performers, scenery, etc., for this world-famed exhibition have been collected at great expense and trouble by Mr. Saylord, with whom Messrs. Wirth have recently concluded arrangements for an Australasian tour, and expect the Show by the September mail boat. Meanwhile they are adding to their present efficient staff, and three artistes— two Japanese tumblers and jugglers, and an Italian gymnast and contortionist— arrive from Sydney, and perform on Tuesday next,
