THE POSTAL TELEGRAPH OFFICERS' UNION.
[BY TELEGRAPH.PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Sunday. At a large meeting of officers of the Wellington Postal and Tolegraphs Service, on Saturday night, a resolution was carried affirming the desirability of and agreeing to form a branch of the Now Zealand Postal Telegraph Society. Forty-eight members were enrolled, and an interim committee was elected to further the movement in the Wellington district. Napier, Sunday. A branch of the Postal Telegraph Officers' Society was formed here last night. Gkeymouth, Saturday. Branches of the Postal Telegraph Officers' Association have been formed at Greymouth, Hokitika, and Westport, which include nearly every officer on the West Coast. A meeting of telegraph operators and postal officers was held on Saturday evening, at Robson's Rooms. There was a large attendance. The object of the meeting was to consider the advisability of forming a branch of the New Zealand Postal and Telegraph Officers' Society, established at Dunedin. After some discussion, it was unanimously agreed to form a branch of the society in this city.
