SERIOUS ILLNESS OF MR. S. JAGGER.
We regret to learn that Mr. Samuel Jagger, the well-known brewer, is so seriously ill that his condition is considered critical. Mr. Jagger, ib will be recollected, accompanied the members of the Waitemata County Council to Waiwera last Saturday week to inspect the site of a wharf which he purposes to erect at that place. Mr. Jagger appeared then to be in his usual health, and drove out with his brother, Mr. Frank Jagger, on Monday morning before tho steamer left for Auckland. He did not return with the party, remaining behind at the hotel with Mrs. and Miss Jagger, but they returned on Wednesday. Since then Mr. Jagger ha? been taken dangerously ill with a complication of complaints, and has been under the medical care of Dr. Haines. Some months ago Mr. Jagger was the victim of a long and serious illness, from which he never thoroughly recovered.
