THE BOWLING TOURNAMENT.
[BY TBLKORAI'H. PKESS ASSOCIATION.] Dukkdin, Friday. This afternoon a number of inter club matches were played. Dunedin beat the Phoenix (Oamaru) Club by 43 to '29, and the Canterbury Ciub by 63 to 40 ; New Plymouth and Wanganui combined beat the Green Island Club by 49 to 33 ; the Taicri Club beat Invercargill by 67 to 55 ; while Victoria beat the Caledonia Club in a four-rink match by 79 to 73. On the lioslyn Green Roslyn beat 'the Oamaru Club in a three-rink match by 75 to 41. For the single-handed tournament 109 players have entered. The following havo been selected to play in the intercolonial match to-day : —No. 1 ; Twiss, Melton ; Bennie, Wanganui; Toomer, jun., Canterbury ; H. Thomson, Christen urch (skip). No. 2: Walters, Green Island ; Nelson, Kaitangata ; McDonald, Lawrence; A. Thompson, Dunedin (skip). No. 3 : Martin, Octmaru ; Bluney, Caledonian ; Hain, Invercargill ; Paui, New Plymouth (skip). No. 4 : Keddie, Balclutha ; Crombie, Wellington ; McKay, Taieri ; Carlton, Roslyn (skip).
