Clansman left last evening on a Bjiecuvl trip to Taunuiga to bring up the numerous visitors from that place who wish to attend the Jubilee sports. Yesterday the schooner Welcome was berthod alougside the breastwork to load up sawn timber at tho Kauri Timber Co.'s mill for Adelaide, for which port she has been entered out. At Tonga the barque Hercules is loading copra for Europe at Nukualofa, aud the barque Lotos has just left Haapai with a similar freight. The 8.8. Wellington sailed last evening for Whangarei with general freight and passengers. She returns to-morrow evening about 8 p.m., and leaves again on a special trip on Monday. A notice appears elsewhere to the effect that the s.s. Rose Casey will leave for Matakana, Kawau, aud Omaha on Monday at 1] a.m., instead of on Wednesday as usual. The fine Norwoigiati barque India, Captain Anderson, ha.3 completed her loading of flax and gum for New York, and hauled out into the stream last evening in readiness to take her departure for New York. She will be cleared at the Customs this forenoon, aud probably sail for New York this afternoon. Early yesterday morning the s.s. Clansman returned from her weekly trip to Russell and the North, with 150 passengers and a cargo of 290 sacks and 80 cases kauri gum, 10 bales wool, and 10 tons sundries The brigantine Aratapu and barque Devon port have berthed at the Railway Wharf to put out their cargoes of Newcastle coals. Yesterday advices were received that the locally-owned brigantine Peerless had arrived safely at Melbourne with a freight of timber from the Kaipara. The schooner Kenilworth was yesterday hauled alongside the breastwork to undergo a general overhaul. Captain Moeller has taken charge of her. Messrs. C. F. James and Co. inform us that the brigantine Ryno has been fixed by them to take a load of timber to Sydney from the Thames.
