At Thames Police Court yesterday Frank William Hill was charged with the larceny as a bailee of an overcoat, valued at £2 15s, and one pair of trousers, valued at£l os6d, the property of George Mcßride, tailor; and also with obtaining 10s under false pretences from Charles Davy, viz., by representing that he was in the employment of Mr. Mcßride, and was entitled to collect moneys, whereas it is alleged he had previously been discharged. Sergeant Gillies said the twelve other charges which were recently withdrawn would be again taken up and new informations laid, while it was probable that some further chragres, which bad turned up in the meantime, would also be proceeded with, the total amount in volved being at least £100. He asked that a remand should be granted until Friday next, which was agreed to, the accused being allowed bail, himself in £100 and two sureties of £50 each. The No. 2 Garrison Band will perform a choice number of musical selections at the Albert Park this afternoon.
