Received October 17, l.'it) a.m. London, October 16. Tub wool _ series closed very strong, and the highest prices were obtained except for faulty merinos. Good scoured was Id, and greasy lambs and washed ■id to id dearer than the closing prices at the last series. The outlook is promising, as the stocks are small, and there is not a single bale of combing wool at Antwerp.

London, Octobcr 15. Wool.—The sales closed firmly this di,y. The following 1 classes show an advance since close of last sales :—Greasy, 3d to Id; combing washed, Id; clothing, Jd to Id; scoured, Id : line scoured crossbred, Id; coarse greasy ditto, Jd; coarse scoured ditto, ?rd ; scoured merino lambs, to Id ; greasy ditto, M to Id ; greasy crossbred ditto, id. The sales comprise about) 223,000 bales, of which 3000 have been held over for future disposal and 110,000 have been taken for export. Wheat.—New Zealand average is worth 34-3 Gd per 4961 bs landed ; Is'ew Zealand longberried is worth 38s landed.
