Mr. Wright at once ran back to Puriri for a vehicle, but before ho returned life was extinct. The body, however, was taken back to I'uriri, and on Constable Bern's arrival it was removed to tho Puriri Hotel to await the holding of an inquest. Deceased was a man o r : about4o years of ago, but whether a married or single man I havo not yet been able to ascertain. An inquest is to be held this afternoon. Later. Tizard, coroner, touching tho death of Henry Wood, when, after hearing tho evidence. the jury returned a verdict that deceased was accidentally killed by a dray passing over his body.
