Sir,—Some of the clauses of the proposed new Act seem to be very stringent, bub will be found useful in the hands of unscrupulous creditors, gentlemen who live-by lending money at 60 per cent, (as you may,at any time see in the Mercantile Gazette). Nobody wishes to assist rogues, bub occasionally honest men come to grief, and ought not to be quite at the mercy of men who fatten on the misfortunes of their fellow beings.
