TAURANGA NEWS.
[BY TKLKOKAI'JI.—OWN fONDKNT.] Taoiianua, Wednesday. At the R.M. Court yesterday a case was before the Court that created much public interest. Mr. Bodell, the owner of the Tauranga Star, sued Mr. Galbraith, the proprietor of the Bay of Plenty Times, for £50 damages for trespass, by seizure of the plant of the Star paper under a distress issued by the defendant against Peter Crawford, in whose name the paper had been running. Mr. L. D. liaston appeared for the plaintiff, and Mr. G. M. Johnston, of Auckland, fur the defendant. A considerable amount of evidence was adduced, and after a lengthy hearing the Court reserved judgment till next Court day. Colonel Roberts and family, consisting of eleven persons altogether, arrived here from home yesterday with the intention of permanently residing in the district. Mr. Lemon, jun.. got his leg broken at Te Puke on Tuesday last by being thrown from a cart, arid has been brought into Tauranga, where he is being attended by Dr. Bullen, who reports him progressing aa satisfactorily as could be desired.
