[BY tecegraph.press ASSOCIATION.] Huxedin, Tuesday. At a meeting of the Otago Rugby Football Union held this evening it was unanimously resolved to send the following reso-* lution to the secretary of the Maori Football Team, also to the Southland Union, which had wired asking what steps the Otago Union intended taking re the statement in the papers here and elsewhere that four men (Madigan, Keogh, Taare, and Arthur Warbrick) had been suspended for shady practices in Brisbane, and which allegation has never been contradicted." The Otago Rugby Football Union declines to play, or sanction any match in which these players take part, until a public contradiction of the statement is made, and a mast ample and satisfactory explanation of the circumstances which gave rise to it is given. It is stated that the Hawke's Bay team contemplates playing the Maoris here on Wednesday week. Christchurch, Tuesday. The following team will play on Saturday against Hawke's Bay —Backs : Wilson, Cresswell, A. Hobos, McLean, Donnelly, Ward. Forwards: Bates, Bean, Childs, Garrard, Evans, McKee, Plank, Reilly, Weekes. Emergencies : Richards, Hutton, and Ebert.
