BANKRUPTCY.
MEETINGS OF CREDITORS. Mrs. Waddell—A meeting of the creditors of Mrs. Waddell, bankrupt, was held yesterday at the offices of the Official Assignee. Mr. Lawson, who presided, said that the bill of sale for £83 held' by Mr. Hosbins was valid to the amount of £70. The valuation of goods under the bill of sale was £114 16s 3d, and outside that about £39. If Mr. Hoskins accepted £70. Mrs. Waddell would get £25 out of the balance, and £19 16s 3d. Mr. Perkins thought it would be hard if the holder of the bill could not get the whole of the money he had advanced, and he moved, " That this meeting recognise Mr. Hoskin's security in the bill of sale, and that it be not interfered with." Mr. Sharpe moved an amendment, "That the arrangement proposed by Mr. Lawson be not interfered with." The amendment was not seconded, and the original motion was carried. . The matters in connection with the estate were left in the hands of the Official Assignee. PETITIONS OF INSOLVENCY. Petitions of insolvency were filed yesterday by John Woods, miner, Kirkwoodstreet (Thames), and Wm, Henry George, miner, Waiorongomai.
