THE CASE OF CHEMIS.
[CY TF.LKOR.Mir. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington', Monday. Mr. Jkllicok pleaded Chemis' case before the Governor-in-Conncil this afternoon. He reviewed the evidence at. length, and directed the attention of His Excellency to the affidavits riled since sentence was pronounced, which, he submitted, tended to bear out the prisoner's assertion that he was innocent of the crime.
