The following was the result of the race for This Eclipse Stakes of 10,000 sovs, SOOsova for the second horse. About one mile aad a quarter. Christciturch, Saturday. At Riccarton to-day Ahna went four times round steady, moving strong. Monteagle also worked well, going once steady and twice fast in good style. Daddy Longlegs did two miles at a nice pace. Irish King cantered a mile and a quarter, and was then joined by Lansboiougn for two circuits at three-quarter pace. He commenced rather badly. Presto did four miles, finishing fast, with Alcinous as companion. Chemist and Orient arrived by the Penguin to-day. ■ < ■ ■ PAIvURANGA HUNT CLUB. There was a large attendance at the Pakuraiiga Hunt Club's " Meet" at Papatoetoe on Saturday last, and there was a capital run. The. hounds are to be seat to Waikato on the sth proximo.
