RAILWAY ACCIDENT.
[BY telegraph.—press association;.] Invercargill, Friday. The condition of Mr. Douglas, stationmaster at Riversdale, who got caught by the foot in a crossing, and had his foot smashed by a waggon, is serious. Amputation will bo necessary, but the prostration of the patient from loss of blood is too groat to permit of the operation.
