In reference to the questions raised by the deputation to Mr. Fergus yesterday, it may be useful to state the amounts approximately available out of the balance of the last loans, as given in the Statement of the Minister for Public Works last session. The loans are divided into three parts, and the total available balance on March 31, 1889, will be, according to Mr. Mitchelson's expectations, about £1,180.000.
