The land is situated on the western side of Cox's Creak, beyond Ponsonby, having an extensive frontage to the present formed road. It is eminently suited for cemetery purposes being all clay land, laid down in tine grass, with drainage into tidal water, with a cheerful and beautiful outlook. • It i.i u;u=ily accessible by a good metalled road and, whilst within easy distance of tho city, fa yet quiet and retired in situation, with an exceedingly sparse population in tho neighbourhood. The prico at which tho property is proposed to bo acquired is so moderate —being at the rate of £ISO per aero —that a very large profit may bo confidently looked tor from the Company's operations. A special feature of tho scheme is that, subject to Such rules and regulations as tho Directors may inpose, touching the time, place, manner, or other incidents of selection, each member, being an original allotteo of liis shares, shall be entitled to select an allotment or allotments being part of any piece of land the property of the Company set aside and dedicated as a cemetcrv, within which exclusiA) right of burial to the selector, his family, nominees, executors, administrators, and assigns, shall be granted as follows, that is to say : 1 For every twenty shires held by him, an allotment 16 feet by 10 feet, being of the class known as extra tirst-claas site.<. For ten shares held by him, or less than twenty, an allotment S feet by 10 feet, being of tho class known as first-class sites. For throe shares held by him, or less than ten, an allotment S feet by 4 feet, being of tho class known as second-class sites. (No shareholder shall bo entitled to select sites of different classes.) The right to make selections of allotments shall be deemed to accrue to tho members in tho same order as that in which their applications for shares shall have been made. The right of selection of sites will be accorded in tho order in which applications for shares are received. An each acre is calculated to yield, after liberal provision for roads, 55 extra, first-class sites, 10 feet x 10 £ feet, say at £10 each, equal to .. 550 SO first-class sites, S feet x 10 feet, say at £0 each, equal to .. .. 400 ICO second-class sites, 4 feet x S feet, say at £110s each, equal to .■> 240 Or a total of, per aero .. -. £1,100 it is evident that tho amount derived from sales-of sites to porsons other than shareholders will be more tbau sufficient to repay the wholo of the capital of tho Company invested in the purchase of the land, leaving tho shareholders in possession of burial-places freo of cost. It is proposed, to lay out the cemetery in the best and most suitable manner, and to plant it with ornamental trees and shrubs, so that it is anticipated it will soon bo a favourite resort for the citizens. Tho Company will bo registered so .soon as ono third of tho capital is subscribed, and, unless this amount is subscribed on or before a date to bo fixed by the Directors, the deposit of applicants will be returned in full. Thereafter the Company will, at tho first session of Parliament, promote a Bill for enabling it fully to carry out the objects of its formation. A copy of the Memorandum and Articles of Association of tho Company may bo inspected at tho office of the Brokers, and intending applicants are invited to peruso tho same before making application for shares.
