Received March 29, 1.30 a.m. THE VICTORIAN ELECTIONS. Melbourne, March 28. . Among those who were returned in the elections which took place to-day were Mr. Gillies, Premier : Mr. Derham, Postmaster-General ; Mr. Deakin, Chief Secretary; Mr. Nimmo, Cammissioner of Public Works ; and Mr. Bent, exleader of the Opposition. Mr. Gunson was one of those defeated. 1 TRAMWAY FRAUDS. Brisbane, March 28. _ Tramway frauds, similar to those in Sydney, have been discovered, and one conductor has been arrested in consequence. It is believed the Government have been defrauded of as much a3 £10,000 a year.
