LAND SALE.
A sale of Crown lands was held yesterday at the Lands Office, Parliament-street, Mr. Etheridge, chief clerk, officiating as auctioneer. The following lots were disposed of : — Hoicianoa County.—Waipoua survey district, section 2, 10 acres 1 rood 22 perches, upset price, £15 15s, and subject to £30 for improvements ; bought at upset price by Mr. J. Reid. Section 7, 50 acres, upset price, £25 ; bought by Mr. J. Roid. Otamatea Count*. —Kawaka parish, section 79, 43 acres, upset price, £21 15s; bought at £34 by Messrs. Coates and Kendall; section 96, Wairav. parish, 69 acres, upset price, £43 2s 6d, bought at £127 by Mr. John Mould.
Whangaroa County.—Totara . parish, block 18, 294 acres, bought at tho upset price, £294, by G. and R. Campbell; block 19, 293 acres, bought at upset price, £293, by G. and R. Campbell; block 21, 260 acres 2 roods, bought at the upset price, £260 10s, by Thomas Hayes. Bay of Islands County.—The lease of a run of 9000 acres in the Kerikeri and Kawakawa survey districts, was sold to Messrs. Kidd and Welby for £16 per annum. The village resorve of 10 acres at Heretaunga was bought by Mr. Meld at the annual rental of £1, the upset price. Awaroa.—Lot 233, Awaroa, parish of Waiuku East, a landing reserve of 23 acres 2 roods, was leased by Mr. J. S. Gibbons at £1 per annum. Kbrmadec Group.Section 2,1710 acres, a grazing run near the old crater of Sunday Island, and section 4, 930 acres, were leased for a term of 21 years, at the upset rental of £1 per acre, to Mr. R. B. Brisfcod and John Thompson. Ifc Is notified by advertisement elsewhere that the area of land announced for selection to-day, and proclaimed as unsurveyed land, in the parish of Omaru, containing 2500 acres, is withdrawn from sale, ana notice will be given' when it is again offered.
