PROPOSED NEW BANK.
London, March 25. Mr. Howard, acting on behalf of the Melbourne projectors, is promoting a bank to be named the London and Melbourne Bank, instead of the Bank of England and Australia as formerly proposed. The capital is to be two millions. The . well - known firm of Baring Brothers and Co. will undertake the floating of the company if they approve of the details of the prospectus.
