Thames, Tuesday. Trenton.—The tender of Roycroft and party has been accepted for cutting out a chamber at the bottom of the shaft, and driving 50 feet therefrom afterwards in the direction of the Saxon lode. The contractors commenced operations with this afternoon's shift, their [Trice being £16 for tho chamber and £1 9s 6d per foot for the drive.
New Manukau. —A good class of quartz still continues to come to hand from Mulligan's leader in the stopes above No. 4 level, colours of gold being seen at almost every breaking down, with an occasional pound or two of picked stone. Crushing operations are proceeding at the Waiotahi battery, but the retorting will nob take place until the end of the month. Moanataiari. —A further breaking down of quartz from tho leader in tho winze below the Cambria No. 3 level took place this morning, when colours of gold wore found to be pretty freely distributed throughout, but no picked stone was obtained. Tho country still maintains its excellent quality, and there is not much doubt that a good payable block will soon bo opened up here. The drive at No. 4 level is still passing through the main reef, there being no sign as yet of the hangingwall.

Saxon.There was nothing fresh from this mine to-day. The drive seaward between tho two reefs at No. 5 level has been extended.
Ar.nua.viA. — The tender of Ensor and party at 25s uer foot has boon accepted for driving 30 feet at the battery level.
May Queen. —The contractors havo now made a proper beginning, after some unforeseen extra work, to clean out the shaft. The number of shares allotted to date is 39,40'J shares, out of a total of 50,000. There are still, therefore, IO.fV.XJ shares open for sale at the Company's office, at Cxi per share, the whole of which goes to the Company's funds. Lone Hand. —The Company is now incorporated, the certificate having been received.
Wo are desired to state that Thursday, the '28th inst., is tho List day for applications for shares in the Opliir Gold Mining Company.
