New Zealand Herald Office, • Monday evening. The Customs duties to-day amounted to £1760 17s 3d. Messrs. S. Cochrane and Son disposed of by auction to-day a number of lots of freehold country land and some town properties. One hundred acres at Karangahape, the southwest portion of lot 4S, brought lis per acre, and the other part of the same lot, 30 acres, realised 7s 6d per acre. Sixty-three acres at Waiheke were sold at 5s 6d per acre. Three lots of section 25, Kapanga, Coromandel, found a purchaser at £5 each. Sixty acres at Ahuroa were sold for 2s an acre, and 80 acres at Pupuke, Mangonui, for 4s per acre. Lots 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 of Opaheke Parish, Drury, brought 32s 6d per acre. A residence ana allotment in Nelson-street, 79 by 130 feet, was knocked down for £350. STOCK AND MINING ASSOCIATION. Auckland, March 25, 1889.
