Messrs W. H. and H. Lo May, hop factors, have just received a report on the position of the hop-trade, which, they believe, indicates a probable rise in price. Great Britain requires at least 700,000 cvvt of hops annually, and we export about 25,000 cwt. The stocks in hand before harvest are estimated at no more than 20,000 cvvt, and the home crop at 240,000 cwt, while imports from September 1 up to the end of 1888,wero only about 120,000 cwt 5 * Thus the extra quantity required per acre here up to the end of next August is very large, and it is not believed that foreign countries can supply the whole of it. Hence it is expected that prices will advance considerably. Prices now range from £2 to £11 per cwt. Lemon Koumis is the new summer drink. Being cool, refreshing, and wholesome, it is a highly suitable beverage for the warm weather. To be obtained only at the depots of the London Dairy Go., Victoria-street and Mount Eden Road. Sick Headache.—" I write to tell you of tho, wonderful good ENO'S 'FRUIT SALT' has done me. At last I was induced to try your 'FRUIT SALT.' I confess I was vory unwilling to do so at first, but after I had taken it a few times I felt ho much better that I continued to take it. I am happy to say that I very rarely have a headache now, and when I do feel it coming on ENO'S 'FRUIT SALT' soon gives me relief. I cannot sufficiently express my gratitude to you for your wonderful FRUIT SALT. I always recommend it, as I think it cannot be too well known.
