[BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Thames, Friday. At the Police Court to-day, Thomas Davidson, for using obscene language, and Thos. Jones, for indecent exposure, were each sentenced to one week's imprisonment. In the Resident Magistrate's Court this afternoon, Solomon Reid sued a native named Meremana Konui for £20, for breach of agreement by the latter in declining to hand over a land scrip, valued at £30, which he had agreed to sell Reid for £15, and upon which Reid had paid a deposit of £5. For the defence it was contended that false representations had been made to induce the defendant to sign a document agreeing to dispose of the land scrip for £15 to plaintiff. Judgment waa reserved until to-morrow. Messrs. Price Brothers' employe's intend holding a picnic at Puriri to-morrow.
