VOLUNTEER INTELLIGENCE.
PRESENTATION OP PRIZES. A splendid muster of the two companies of Auckland and Ponsonby Naval Artillery was held last evening, at the Drill-shed. There were present over 80 of the Auckland men, under Captain Parker, while Capbain Miller, of the Ponsonby corps, had under his charge over 70. The men were paraded bogebher, and an inspection held by bheir officers. Ab the conclusion of the drill, the following prizes for shooting were presented :—Medal presented by Lieutenant Whitely, and cup donated by Mr. E. L. Smith, bobh won by Petty Officer George Spinley ; silver cup, won by Seaman Hedley; tub, presented by Seaman. Bryan, won by Bugler Ewan, THE ENCAMPMENT.. It was stabed on parade yesterday evening that the Auckland Navals would go into camp to-day, and about 70 men will accordingly proceed to Devonport by the three p.m. boat. The Waitemaba Navals will break camp to-day, after a fortnight pleasantly and usefully spent under canvas. During the past week the members of the latter corps have shown 'themselves very proficient in big gun drill.
