NEW ZEALAND INSURANCE COMPANY.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir,—ln Monday's Herald* "A Share*, holder" lashes himself into fury because the directors of the New Zealand Insurance Company do not manage affairs better than to give shareholders a pittful 15 per cent, dividend. Really some men are like the horse-leech, notoriously insatiable. Better to pay directors £12 per hour and get a dividend of 15 per cent, than a payment of 12d per hour, and perhaps no dividend ate all. We can get plenty of "Cheap Jack" men in Auckland, but not many direotors of public companies give the pleasing return of 15 per cent, dividend.—l am, etc., Unfortunately No Shareholder.
