Passengers : Mrs. Rockw'oou and 2 children, Messrs. Harris, Havman, Duncan, Madgley, Green, Olden, Colbeck, Rollerson, and 4 steerage.—Union S.S. Co., agents. IMPORTS. Per s.s. Gairloch : 130 hides, 50 cattle, 20 bags fungus, 5 cases bacon, 15 packages butter, 21 packages. Per s.s. Takapuna : 100 sacks malt, 1 bale hops, 100 bundles fishplates, 2 boxes (1216oz) gold, 170 kegs butter, 38 packages sundries. Per s.s. Rowena : 3 sacks potatoes, 5 bales skins, 74 sheep, 22 pigs, 13 bales wool, 4 bales and 7 sacks fungus, 119 bales flax and tow, 29 packages. The Union Co.'s s.s. Wanaka, Captain J. Meads, for the South, with the inward San Francisco mail and cargo and passengers, took her departure at 12.30 on Saturday afternoon. The Northern Co.'s steamers Gairloch and Rowena arrived on Saturday evening, tho former from Waitara and the latter from Raglan and Kawhia, each having general cargoes. The Union Co.'s s.s. Takapuna, Captain J. Grant, from the South, arrived at 5 a.m. yesterday. She left Dunedin at 3 p.m. on the 31st ultimo • called at Lyttelton on tho 2nd, Wellington on the 3rd ; called at Picton, and arrived ut Nelson at 5.30 a.m. on the 4th; sailed again at 9 p.m., and arrived at Taranaki at 10.15 a.m. on the sth ; sailed for the Manukau at 1 p.m., crossed the bar at 3 a.m. on the 6th, and arrived as above. Experienced to Nelson strong N.W. gales, and thence moderate winds with thick weather.
