IN A CYCLONE.
TERRIBLE SUFFERINGS. Sydney, December 29. Information has been received here that the British India Navigation Company's steamer Bondarra was caught in a terrible cyelone off Madras. She had 600 coolies- on board, and the sufferings of these, who had to be battened down, was intense. Five were killed outright and fourteen fearfully injured. The vessel had a very narrow escape from foundering.
