PONSONBY "AT HOME."

A fancy dress ball, in connection with the Ponsonby "At Home," was held last evening in the Ponsonby Hall. There was a good attendance, over fifty couples being present. The hall was decorated with Hags, and the platform draped off as a refreshment apartment. The dance music was supplied by the Messrs. Adams, and the catering was under tho management of the Ladies' Committee :—Mesdames A. Devore, D. F. Evans, T. T. Masefield, C. Macindoe, and E. Buchanan, and gave every satisfaction. Tho committee of management were :—His Worship the Mayor (A. E. Devore), D. F. Evans (hon. sec), T. T. Masefield, C. Macindoe, and E. Buchanan. Dancing commenced at eight o'clock, and was kept up with spirit till a late hour.
