ADVANCE OF KAURI GUM. London , , November 10. Sixteen hundred cases of kauri gum have been sold at an advance of 5s to 10s. Two hundred and seventy-live bales of basils have been disposed of at a halfpenny decline on last sales. Per Xew Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. London, November 9. Wheat. —Market is steady. Tallow.—Good mutton is worth 33s 3d, and good beef, 32s per cwt. The rise in price is purely speculative. Frozen- Meats.—Mutton: Markeb is dull. Canterbury is worth 4id, and Wellington 4£d per lb. Stocks are in excess of trade requirements. Beef: Market is steadier. Forequarters are worth 3id. and hindquarters, 3|d per lb. Kauri Gum.—Market is drooping. Fine qualities are in good demand. Medium is worth £30 10s per ton.
