LFKOM OUR OW.N' CORRESPONDENT.] Thames, Saturday. At the Police Court to-day a lad named Joseph Broun was committed to the Kohimarama Industrial School for having been mplicated in a tjieft of eggs from one James Bainett on the 4th instant. The adjourned plaint lodged by the Mining Inspector against E. R. Edwards, licensee of the May Queen licensed holding, for forfeiture for arrears of rent, came on for hearing at a special sitting of the Warden's Court tins morning, bub on a cheque being presented for the amount due tho plaint was withdrawn. An application for three months' protection of the holding was then heard, and after reading the prospectus of thc proposed company and hearing Mr. McLaren, who appeared for the applicant, the Warden grated two months' protection.
