Morgan; (Mayor), Whyman, Lowe; i ; Spooner, Kent, and Holmes. ... ;I i Outstanding I Rates.-—On the' motion of the Mayor, it was decided that the Council should adopt clauses 21 to 51 of the Rating Act Amendment Act, 1882, which give "ex-;-tended powers to the borough for i the recovery of , overdue rates, and a special meeting to ! confirms the adoption of these sections was fixed for November 15. ' \;1 Resignations.—Messrs. William Hogg and George Bishop wrote -resigning their positions as councillors. The Mayor moved, " That the j resignations be accepted, \ and that the baarty thanks of the Council, for their effort* for the good of the.borough, be conveyed to the two gentlemen." , i> i •DRAmAOE.'-r'A letter; from Mr. F.
