After the island called Pleasant Island has been declared as under the Imperial German protectorate, and placed under the administration of the Marshall, Brown, and Providence Islands by Imperial Proclamation, the following Highest Imperial Order of 13th October, 1886, will take effect, and will run as follows SI. It is prohibited to import into Pleasant Island firearms, shooting requisites, and gun-powder, (in- ! eluding blasting powders), of any description what--1 soever. i 52. It inav in certain cases and on special written application be allowed to Europeans living on the isj land, to import small quantities of the articles men- | tioned in SI on the condition that they are only usod | for their own special purposes, i 53. Any person acting contrary to the express order in §1, or misusing any permit granted under §2 by presenting or selling, or in any way handing over to any native any firearms, shooting requisites, or powder, will lie tined a sum not exceeding $500 or 3 months' imprisonment.
