[press association.] ALLEGATIONS AGAINST A JUDGE. Perth, W.A., October 17. A most remarkable petition has jusi been presented to Parliament by the proprietors of the Western Australian newspaper against Chief Justice Onslow. They allege that for the past live years they have been plundered, persecuted, insulted, and assailed in tha basest manner both by public speakers and other journals, and they cannot obtain any redress, owing to the animosity displayed towards them by the Chief Justice.

SENTENCE OF DEATH. Brisbane, October 17. The Frenchman Duhamel, who murdered Mrs. Riley, his paramour, at Croydon, has been sentenced to death.

THE WRECK OF THE EASTMINSTER. Brisbane, October 17. A fisherman cruising in the neigh' bourhood of Keppel Islands, has discovered the missing ship Eastminster,which left Maryborough for Newcastle on the 17th Febt :?.ry last. The vessel was found a long -ay inside the coral reef, and the hull appeared to be There was evidence that the survivors*, of the wreck had been on the reef, and writing was discovered on portions of the wreck, but the fisherman could not read it.

ARREST OF A NEW ZEALAND BANKRUPT. Sydney, October 17. A man named Charles Henry has been arrested on a charge of fraudulent bankruptcy at Feilding, New Zealand.
