WELLINGTON' FINE ARTS EXHIBITION.
O THE GOVERNOR'S DEPARTURE. [BY TELEGRAPH.--PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Wednesday. The Fine Arts Exhibition was opened by the Governor this afternoon. In his address His Excellency regretted that this would be the last occasion on which he would have the pleasure of taking part in the proceedings of the Fine Arts Association, as he would soon be leaving the colony. The number of exhibits is 275, and though there is a decrease in numbers, as compared with those of last year, the Exhibition is quite equal to those held in previous years. Exhibits were forwarded from London, Christchurch, Nelson, Dunedin, and Amberley.
