BANKRUPTCY.
MEETING OF CREDITORS. A meeting of creditors in the estate of Andrew McLeod was held yesterday, at the Official Assignee's office. The bankrupt and his solicitor (Mr. Cotter) and a quorum of creditors were present. The bankrupt had his leg broken some time ago, while alighting from a tramcar, and has, since July last, not been able to attend to business, and was put to great expense and loss in consequence. He sued the Tramway Company for damages, but lost the case, and was compelled to file his schedule. On the motion of Mr. Cotter, proxy for Mrs. Helen McLeod, seconded by ( Mr. Neumegen, proxy for Mrs. B. Frost, it was resolved that as the debtor's position was entirely caused by misfortune, the creditors desire that the Official Assignee will facilitate bis discharge.
